What Our Patients Say
We strive to deliver the best possible care to each woman who comes to Preterm. Our patients regularly give us positive feedback in our waiting room journals, our follow-up questionnaires and phone calls, and thank you notes.
Here is some of what they have to say:
“Everyone was very friendly. My patient advocate was the best – very nice & made me feel very comfortable. The patient escorts really helped ease my mind about the protestors … The entire Preterm atmosphere is one of love and support.” — a Preterm patient 2010
“The care and compassion of everyone who works @ Preterm will always stay with me. I will always be thankful to the kind people who took care of us. … When we had no one else to turn to, Preterm made us feel safe and cared for. The emotional support given from every single individual we encountered at Preterm was an invaluable blessing.” — a Preterm patient 2009
“Your care is amazing. I was treated like an individual, not just another patient. Thank you. Everyone is kind and smiles, uses eye contact, and really listens to you.” — a Preterm patient 2010
“Sometimes I feel like ‘what if’ I didn't do the right thing, but for the most part I’m glad it’s over. I’m dealing with it day to day. I know I can’t change what happened, so I have to accept it and move forward. After talking to the counselors, I felt a lot less stress about the situation. I felt comfortable at Preterm, not judged. Everyone was nice and I wasn’t worried about my well being.” — a Preterm patient 2010
“You treated me with respect.” — a Preterm patient 2009
“You treated me with respect and never judged me. You are very professional yet personable, from the security guard to the recovery room. | You know, there were probably 30-40 women and young girls in there that day and I bet there were 30-40 different reasons for their decision. All in all it was their decision. I really hope that they have a great support person like I do. It really helps. | On the day of my procedure, on my final trip to the 3rd floor I rode on the elevator with a mom going to pick up her daughter. When the elevator door closed, without saying a word, this lady gave me a hug, as if she know what I was going through. We didn’t say a word but the hug felt nice. | As I sat in the recovery room waiting my turn, I struck up a conversation with a lady beside me. We exchanged stories and never once did we judge each other. Come to find out that while we were recovering, my boyfriend and her husband were talking in the waiting room. We probably won’t see them again but for a brief few minutes we were friends. | This is a big decision for anyone to make. I was 17 weeks along. It took me several weeks to finally make my decision. | Thank you again for treating me like a human being and treating me so well. Thank you!!!” — a Preterm patient 2010
“The staff is awesome” — a Preterm patient 2010
“This will give me another chance at living my own life before bringing another one into the world … Everyone [at Preterm] was very helpful, supportive, and understanding … treats you with dignity and respect.” — a Preterm patient 2010
“As difficult as this was, the staff was warm, welcoming and very supportive no matter what my choice was.” — a Preterm patient 2010
“Preterm was very organized and calming. All the staff was extremely knowledgeable and was so compassionate.” — a Preterm patient 2010
“You all made me feel like you also believed I was doing the right thing. You helped me believe in myself. Keep doing what you’re doing. You allow people to know it’s OK to have feelings and be who we are about those feelings.” — a Preterm patient 2009
“You all made sure my decision was best.” — a Preterm patient 2010
“I feel inspired by the great service you provide for your patients. You offer a safe place for women to make a choice. I was shown different birth control options and saw that I am going to be able to be more responsible and act in alignment with my goals. ... This place is a wonderful place. NO one wants an abortion but this place makes it safe and respects women. … You are all seriously wonderful! The doctors are heroes! They are needed.” — a Preterm patient 2010
