Imagine going to a clinic for a legal medical procedure. As you approach, the street is lined with huge, gruesome photos. Someone is carrying a poster that says you’re committing murder. Someone else might be taking your picture. A man comes up to your car and thrusts a brochure through your open window. It contains outrageous lies about the procedure you’re about to have. As you park your car and walk to the door, people yell terrible things at you.

This is what it’s like at most abortion clinics, where picketers try to deter women from getting abortions and clinic workers from providing abortions. You can’t stop them because the law says that they’re exercising their right to free speech. But you can make them work for a good cause.
