Each woman's life situation is different, and we support all the options available to you. It's about choice, and it is about making sure you are able to do what is best for you.

Although Preterm is primarily an abortion clinic, we also offer adoption services in partnership with Spence-Chapin, an open adoption agency in New York City. We have specially trained adoption advocates who can work with you if you are too far in your pregnancy for an abortion or you discover in counseling that you would prefer to make an adoption plan.

We chose to partner with Spence-Chapin because they share our commitment to supporting women and ensuring your control of your pregnancy and parenting decisions.

Open adoption is a mutual selection process where birthmothers have the opportunity to choose the adoptive parents for their child and are able to create a plan for future contact and communication. Spence-Chapin actively advocates for the birthmother throughout this process.

At this time, our adoption services are offered on a case-by-case basis. A patient advocate can explore your pregnancy options with you and help you determine if this is the right choice for you. She can also help you find other local adoption information and services.
